Mamoudou Niane is the Permanent Secretary of the Data Protection Commission (CDP) of Senegal. He was the Director of Legal Affairs, Litigation and Compliance from November 2016 to March 2020.
He is Professor at Gaston Berger University Faculty of Law (Senegal).
Pr. Niane participated in the drafting of legislation on the Information Society and the Media in Senegal. More recently, he coordinated the reform of the legislative and regulatory framework on the protection of personnel data in Senegal. He is a member of several technical committees dedicated to the protection of personal data (Artificial Intelligence, Digital Identity) and to Cybersecurity.
