Fredrick Asumanu

Financial Inclusion Expert -Director (Policy & Regulations) // Financial Inclusion Forum Africa. 

Frederick is a seasoned expert in Fintech and Telecommunication regulation in sub-Saharan Africa with a combined 18 years working experience. He currently heads the Market Regulations Unit at the Regulatory Division of the National Communications Authority, Ghana.

He has been a member and Rapporteur at the International Telecom Union (ITU), focusing on Economics and Tariffs Policy issues relating to Telecommunications for the past 10 years. He is also a member of ITU DFS Security, Infrastructure and Trust working Groups.

Frederick holds a Master’s of Business Administration degree in Finance from Methodist University College Ghana; a Post Graduate Diploma in Economics and Competition Law from King’s College UK; Certificate in Fintech and Regulations Innovations from Cambridge Judge Business School UK; Law and Regulations of Inclusive Finance from University of Luxembourg; Diploma in Telecommunications Policy and Regulations from USA; and an Advanced Certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration.

He is passionate about financial Inclusion and believe the growing trend in the development of next generation technology will bridge the gap between the banks and unbanked.
